Fast Track Immigration Programme Launched for Faster Airport Clearance
The Government of India has introduced the Fast Track Immigration, Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP), a new initiative designed to make international travel smoother for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders.

Through this programme, eligible travellers will have access to dedicated e-gates at airports, enabling faster immigration clearance for both departures and arrivals. The move is aimed at reducing long queues, cutting down processing time, and enhancing overall travel efficiency.
The rollout will cover 21 major airports across the country. In its first phase, the facility will be available at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad. These airports handle a significant portion of India’s international traffic, making them prime locations for the initial launch.

The FTI-TTP aligns India’s airport infrastructure with global standards, offering a convenience already enjoyed by frequent flyers in many other countries. It is expected to particularly benefit frequent international travellers, business professionals, and those with tight schedules.
Travellers are advised to keep an eye on official announcements from the Bureau of Immigration and the Ministry of Civil Aviation for details on registration, eligibility, and activation dates at respective airports.
